I have been working on my cosplay for a bit now, and I made some printable tattoos that you are free to use for Vocaloids 2. Please test the print on a Normal Printing Paper before printing them to Decal Tattoo Paper. You might notice that these tattoos are reverted and are required to be like this when printed to make tattoos. Decay Tattoo Paper is a bit pricy to buy so it is best to do a quick test to make sure that they will print correctly. These tattoos are found on the vocaloids left upper arms that indicate their name and their model number. This tattoo makes a great last edition to your cosplay! I can make other tattoo designs for vocaloids by request! I only need a photo sample of what you want it to look like and I will do my best to create it for you! Tattoos need to be designed on a clear background so when you print no white borders will show.
Please do not redistribute these without my permission! Please tell me if you will be using them!
1. Concealing your face
It is actually against the law to conceal your face in a public place like a mall. The reason for this is for identification in case something illegal happened. It is best to choose a cosplay, which does not hide your face from the public.
Props and Weapons
You cannot go into a mall with any sort of prop or weapon that looks dangerous or that could cause harm even if it is only foam or plastic. If it looks real, you will be stopped for the safety concerns of the people in the mall. This is why at conventions we have to get it checked and place a see able identifier for safety.
No large costume or something heavily unnatural
Things like suit or armors or large butterfly wings are cool and all, but a mall is not the place for this sort of cosplay. Save these for a convention. Usually the best cosplays for the mall are characters in normal clothing or costumes that look normal. Do not stand out too much at a mall because some people may think you are nuts. Not everyone understands cosplay. It is ok to have a little fun for an usual style just do not go over the top. Also, keep in mind common decency. Don’t show up in a bikini or a small amount of clothing!
Do not act like an idiot
Yes, cosplaying is fun and can get out of hand. However, you do not have to run around and squeal like an idiot. This will annoy the public around you and get you tossed out. Even if you are doing this while not cosplaying you will get tossed out.
Photography and Video
It is fun to record yourself and friends but remember, not everyone likes to be on camera. Respect the people around you and make sure only to get the cosplayers. If you want to video record in a store, please ask the people working there first if this is all right with them. Usually a photo that is not over the top is ok. Just how you would regularly take a photo with a friend but be sure not to include anyone but yourself in the photo and do not act like an idiot while doing it. Just randomly going into a mall with a camera can be considered illegal entry if you are recording everyone. Respect peoples’ privacy please.
Do not scare people especially children
It is not nice to jump at unsuspecting people. Be kind and just explain what you are doing if someone ask. Do not try to scare or surprise them. This usually ends badly on your part.
If security comes
Do not resist. Just explain what you are doing and answer their questions calmly. If you are kind to them, they should be kind to you. They have the right to get the police if they think you are any threat to people or if they think you are crazy that you could hurt someone. If you are asked to leave just leave quietly and if they are rude then ask for their manager’s with a way to identify them. (Badge number or something) Do not shout at them they will call the police. If they will not give you this information, then leave and contact the mall to find out. Be sure to take down the time and date of the incident and any information about the security officer. If you broke, a rule above then it will obviously be your own fault, but if you have not then they had no reason to be rude to you.
Here is a photo of my new Miku headphones, which light up using LED lights inside the headphone on the red part. Just like Miku’s does! They are activated using a small button behind each side. These headphones are 100% function able with an MP3 player and come with a removable cord if you wish to just cosplay with them. They were ordered on eBay from human_go who has a great reputation in his/her store for quality items.
The quality of these headphones are awesome and well worth the money you pay for them. They are made of PVC plastic and the mic is movable to adjust to your face. human_go will also adjust the size to your head if you provide him or her the proper measurements needed. However, you must indicate you are wearing it over a wig especially if your wig is thick! Mine is tin so I did not need to. I actually measured my regular headphones to give him/her because that is what I am most comfortable with when wearing headphones. They came fitting to my head perfectly! Shipping was done quickly too!
They also came with Miku’s hair clips that are also made of PVC plastic. They were a bit smaller then what I expected but I made them work anyways. They look cool all together though. You can order the headphones without the hair clips if you want as well.
What is this about?
Miku Hatsune, a virtual pop star is being quickly disappearing from the net and many fans and the company that created her are fighting to find out who is doing this. The fraudster is claiming to be the owner of the company and filling copyrighted complain trying to get everything related to Miku Hatsune down. The company started to notice about this problem as early as November 2011, and has been unsuccessful finding who is behind this problem. Miku Hatsune and other Vocaloids were created for the fans and the company would never force fans to take down fan made videos because their programs were created for fans to make music videos!
Who is Miku Hatsune?
Miku is a virtual pop star created by Yamaha Corporation and is on the high rise of fame on the net in the last few years. She is part of a project called Vocaloids that are digital being created and given a unique digitally created singing voice. (Some voices were based on real pop stars, but digitally remade and changed.) Part of their story line is that they are data that crosses the net looking for music to sing and dance to for their many fans to enjoy. There are more than three dozen Vocaloids that were released but some are more popular and better known to fans. Miku Hatsune has been the companies #1 Vocaloid since her release in 2007 with the Vocaloid 2 release set.
Why should I support Miku Hatsune Campaign?
Well, you do not have to but it would be nice if you could. Vocaloids are the next big piece of the world’s technology when it comes to holographic images coming to life. They have actually made real life concerts using this technology in hopes that it will one day bloom into something bigger. One day your old favorite singers/artists might be able to perform a concert even if they are no longer in this world. You will get to enjoy the feel of being at their concerts still. It is a fantastic piece of technology that could open many new doors in the world. Not only does Vocaloids promote this technology, but they also promote digital voices, which can reach voice levels a real person could never reach. It would be a great technology to use one day in music or in movies/TV shows. Vocaloid Technology is basically the future of technology presented in a cute Japanese style manner. Plus, Miku is such a sweet angel compared to other singers/actors that you always hear are getting in trouble. She’s a great role model for children because the company controls her every move to make her agge appropriate for everyone!
Miku is Japanese. Why do we need her in Western Society?
Miku Hatsune as actually already appeared into western culture. She promoted Toyota Car Company in the USA and did her very own Holographic Concert in Los Angeles. It was a sold out concern and proved to be popular with all ages. They say that fans were more into the show then they seem in most concerts within western culture. People were going to actually listen to the music, not get drunk and cause trouble as we sometimes see or hear about after a live concert. The company wants to continue to promote their Vocaloids across the world, but without the fan support; they may lose hope in doing so. Miku Hatsune is maybe Japanese, but that does not mean she is not welcomed to western society. Both in Canada and United States of America, we are multi-cultural and we should accept things that are different and from other cultures. It is what our countries stand for; freedom. Even if you are not an Anime Fan, this is also for the movement of technology. Let us stand together and protect the future!
(Yes, if you noticed in the video above they are holding leek (negi) glow sticks. It is Miku’s promotional health food. Kids, be sure to eat your veggies like Miku!)
How can I support?
You can support Miku by joining many support groups created for her. In addition, spreading it around so people get involved and support too would help. Let us not lose Miku Hatsune! If you could please help, support the Vocaloids along with this fan and many more we could be highly grateful to you. Let Miku stay on the net! We cannot let them make her disappear! Thank you for reading and pass on the message!
